The FreshWater Salt System Cartridge converts salt that you add to your spa to chlorine automatically. This replaces the need to add chlorine manually to the spa as long as there is enough salt in the water and the water is properly balanced. Properly balanced water includes proper pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, & Phosphate levels.
